The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Holds Third Seminar on People-to-People Diplomacy
On October 11, 2025, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held the Third Seminar on People-to-People Diplomacy in Beijing under the theme "Building the Four Bridges to Advance a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind."?About 150 representatives from central government bodies, state ministries and commissions, mass organizations, universities, think tanks, media outlets, and enterprises attended the event.In his remarks, President Yang Wanming recalled that exactly one year ago, President Xi Jinping delivered an important address?during his meeting with foreign guests attending the China International Friendship Conference and Events Marking the 70th Anniversary of CPAFFC. From September 23, 2025 to September 25, 2025, at the invitation of the Bulgaria National Association for the Belt and Road, President Yang Wanming of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) led a delegation on an official visit to Bulgaria. During his visit, President Yang attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the China Bulgaria Local Cooperation Conference on the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Cooperation. 2025 Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges Held in Urumqi
With the theme of global partnership for common and sustainable development, the 2025 Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges was held in Urumqi, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on September 14, 2025. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on five key topics: high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, ecological protection and green development, ethnic regional autonomy and human rights safeguards, preservation of ethnic minority cultures, and ethnic unity and shared development. In addition, two regional dialogue sessions were held—the "Global South Legislators Dialogue"?and the "Dialogue with Legislators of EU Countries." Legislators expressed admiration for the Xinjiang's latest achievements in economic and social development and its stability, vitality, unity, and harmonious coexistence of diverse ethnic groups.The Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges, initiated by the CPAFFC, serves as an important platform for dialogue and exchange among legislative bodies worldwide. The forum aims to share governance experiences and foster cooperation among nations. The previous two editions were held in Shenzhen (2023) and Shanghai (2024), respectively.
