On September 29, 2025, at the invitation of Ambassador Peter Wilson, President Yang Wanming of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) visited the British Ambassador's residence in China for a dinner meeting.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in friendly and cordial exchanges on strengthening communication and dialogue across various sectors between China and the UK, enhancing mutual understanding, deepening people-to-people ties, and promoting the continuous improvement and development of bilateral relations.
Hao Zhongwei, Director-General of the Department of European and Asian Affairs of the CPAFFC; and Anthea Hefferman, Counsellor for Regional Cooperation at the British Embassy in China, were present at the event.
