On December 2, 2025, President Yang Wanming of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with Danilo Türk, President of the World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid (WLA-CdM) and former President of Slovenia, on the sidelines of the 2025 Imperial Springs International Forum in Guangzhou.

President Yang Wanming noted that since its inception, the Imperial Springs International Forum has continued to grow and expand its influence, and that its development would not have been possible without the long-standing strong support and active engagement of President Danilo Türk and the WLA-CdM. In the face of a growing number of global challenges and an increasingly complex and daunting international environment, countries around the world must strengthen cooperation and work together to address shared challenges. He expressed the hope that members of the WLA-CdM would actively lend their voices in international political circles to jointly advance reform and improvement of the global governance system, and to promote world peace and prosperity. President Yang Wanming added that stands ready to explore with the WLA-CdM expanded exchanges and cooperation in a wider range of areas in the future, including think tanks, youth engagement, and people-to-people exchanges.
Danilo Türk said that the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping—the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative—have provided clear direction for strengthening international cooperation and improving global governance. He noted that countries need to engage in closer cooperation with China to implement these initiatives in an efficient and pragmatic manner. He added that the WLA-CdM looks forward to further deepening its partnership with the CPAFFC and contributing to enhanced exchanges and mutual understanding between China and the wider international community.
CPAFFC Vice President Shen Xin and Deputy Secretary-General Ji Yongjun were present at the meeting.
