The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a banquet in Beijing to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China?and?Suriname on May 27, 2016. Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mr. Wang Chao, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Xie Yuan, Vice President of the CPAFFC, Mr. Lloyd Pinas, Ambassador of the Embassy of Suriname in China etc.attended the banquet. Vice President Xie Yuan said in his speech that, since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, the development of the bilateral relations have been made achievements under the joint efforts. Suriname is one of the South American countries?where?many overseas Chinese live. The Chinese culture has become an important part of Suriname multi-culture?and?the friendship have been deeply rooted in the heart of the two countries’ people. 2016 “Spring of the Pomegranate Flower” --Cultural Exchanges Week between China?and?Republic of Korea, co-organized by the CPAFFC, Xi’an Municipal People’s Government,?and?city government of Jinju of the Republic of Korea, is held in Xi’an during May 14th to 17th.
