Vice President Shen Xin Meets with Guests from Peru
On May 23, 2025, Vice President Shen Xin of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with García, Peru's Deputy Minister of Health, and Yong Motta, President of the Instituto Cultural Peruano-Chino?at the CPAFFC.Vice President Shen Xin noted that Peru was one of the first Latin American countries to join the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and the first in the region to sign a package of free trade agreements with China. As comprehensive strategic partners, China and Peru have long stood at the forefront of China-Latin America relations. The Chancay Port, a signature BRI project personally followed and?supported by President Xi Jinping, together with the newly established direct shipping route between Chancay and Shanghai, has formed a container network connecting multiple countries across Asia and Latin America. From May 7 to 8, the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit, hosted by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, was held in Istanbul, Türkiye.This summit was?themed on?"A More Humane World—Dialogue for a Livable World."
