On April 13, president Li Xiaolin and vice president Hu Sishe of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with former Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Yukio Hatoyama.
President Li gave sincere appreciation for the support, which gave to the Chinese CPAFFC from Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, and expressed her pleasure to meet with Mr. Yukio Hatoyama again. She said that Mr. Yukio Hatoyama is our old friend, we are moved by Mr. Yukio Hatoyama’s friendly opinions and proposals on China. President Li and Mr. Yukio Hatoyama also exchanged views on how to promote the more friendly relationship between China and Japan, international situation and issues of common concerned.
Mr. Yukio Hatoyama expressed that he was very glad to see CPAFFC’s role in promoting friendly exchanges. The extensive cultural exchange activities of China and Japan developed by CPAFFC recently had stirred up wide appreciation. He also hoped to continue to support the people to people exchanges with CPAFFC.
