President Li Xiaolin met with Mr. Xu Yicheng, Deputy Director of the Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health of the Office of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in Beijing on April 2nd. Mr. Xu briefed on the work carried out by his team on improving the health of women and children around the world, and put forward his suggestions on the future collaboration between the two organizations.
President Li gave a brief introduction of CPAFFC, and she noted that being a NGO with a general consultative status of UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), CPAFFC attaches great importance to cooperating with relevant UN agencies, and it is willing to extend necessary assistance to the projects implemented by the Office of UN Secretary-General.
Zhang Heqiang, Director General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs attended the meeting.
