On September 9, 2025, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the China-DPRK Friendship Association sent congratulatory messages to the DPRK Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries and the DPRK-China Friendship Association, celebrating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The congratulatory message stated that China and North Korea are close neighbors connected by shared mountains and rivers, and the traditional friendship between the two countries was personally established and meticulously cultivated by the elder generations of leaders from both sides. This longstanding friendship is a cherished and invaluable asset to two countries. We sincerely rejoice at the remarkable achievements made by the DPRK people over the past 77 years in their socialist revolution and construction, and wish them ever greater successes on the grand journey of advancing the cause of DPRK-style socialism under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the government, with General Secretary Kim Jong Un at the helm.
